Terms of service

Plain English, because you should be able to read this in five minutes and know exactly what you're agreeing to.

Who you're dealing with

Clear Path Sites is a one-person web design business based in Dallas, Texas, run by Rahim. In these terms, "I" and "me" mean Clear Path Sites, and "you" means the business signing up for the service.

By signing up, you're agreeing to what's on this page.

What the service is

For a flat monthly fee, I design, build, host, and maintain a website for your business. That includes:

• A custom website designed around your business, with your photos, services, prices, hours, and booking links
• Hosting, security, backups, and SSL
• Domain registration and setup
• Google Business Profile setup
• Ongoing content updates for as long as you're a customer

The build itself is free. There's no setup fee and no separate design charge.

What's not included

To be clear about where the line is, the monthly fee does not cover:

• Marketing, SEO campaigns, or content strategy beyond the basic Google Business setup
• Social media management or posting
• Paid advertising of any kind, including running or managing ad campaigns
• Photography or video beyond what's agreed during the initial build
• Custom software, online ordering systems, payment processing, or booking engines that I have to build from scratch. I link to the booking and delivery tools you already use

If you want something in this list, ask and I'll quote it separately.

Billing

• The service costs $199 per month.
• Billing is recurring and charged monthly to the card you provide.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number.
• Your first charge happens when your site goes live, not when you first get in touch. Previews are free.
• Each charge covers the month ahead.

If a payment fails, I'll let you know and give you a reasonable chance to fix it. If it stays unpaid, I may take the site offline until it's resolved.

Cancellation

There's no contract and no minimum term. You can cancel any time by emailing hello@clearpathsites.com.

• Your service runs through the end of the period you've already paid for.
• There are no refunds for partial months.
• At the end of that period, your site comes down.
• You keep your domain, and I'll hand over your photos, text, and content on request.

Refunds

If you're unhappy in your first month, I'll refund that first month in full. Just tell me. You don't have to explain yourself.

After the first month, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel any time and you won't be billed again, but I don't refund months that have already been charged.

Your domain

You own your domain. It's registered in your business's name, and it stays yours whether or not you're a customer. If you cancel, I'll transfer it to whatever registrar you want at no charge.

If you already own a domain, I'll use it. You keep control of it the whole time.

Who owns what

You own your content. Your photos, your text, your logo, your menu, your prices. All of it yours, before and after. Nothing about working with me changes that.

By giving me that content, you're giving me permission to use it on your site, and to show your finished site as an example of my work. If you'd rather I didn't use your site as an example, tell me and I won't.

I retain the underlying template code. The layouts, stylesheets, and components I build sites from stay mine, and I reuse them across clients. Your subscription pays for a working, hosted website, not for ownership of the code behind it. If you cancel, you take your domain and your content; you don't take the codebase.

You also confirm you have the right to use everything you give me. If you hand me photos you don't own, that's on you.

What counts as an update

"Updates whenever you need them" means content changes: new prices, holiday hours, new photos, a staff change, a new service, swapping a booking link, moving a section around. Text me and it's handled, usually same day. There's no per-change fee and no ticket queue.

It does not mean a full redesign, a rebuild on a new layout, extra pages beyond the agreed site, or a second site for another location. Those are new projects. If what you're asking for starts looking like one, I'll say so up front and quote it before doing any work. You'll never get a surprise invoice.

I ask that requests come through one person at your business, and I'll get to them in the order they arrive.

What I need from you

I can only build the site once you've sent me your information and photos. If I don't hear back for 60 days during a build, I may close the project out. You won't have been charged anything.

Uptime and liability

I host on Cloudflare and aim to keep your site online all the time, but I can't promise perfect uptime. No one honestly can. Outages at the hosting or domain level are outside my control.

I'm not liable for lost business, lost revenue, or other indirect losses arising from the site being unavailable or from errors on it. If something goes wrong on my end, my total liability is limited to what you've paid me in the previous three months.

Ending it from my side

I may end the service, with reasonable notice and a refund of any unused prepaid month, if payment stays unresolved, if the site is used for anything illegal, or if the working relationship stops being workable. This isn't something I expect to use.

Changes to these terms

If I change these terms in a way that affects you, I'll email you before the change takes effect. Continuing as a customer after that means you're fine with the new version. Your price won't change without at least 30 days' notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
