Privacy policy

Short version: I collect what you type into the contact form, I use it to get back to you, and I don't sell it to anyone.

What I collect

When you fill in the contact form on this site, I receive whatever you put in it:

• Your name
• Your business name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• What kind of business you run
• Anything you write in the notes field

Only your name and phone number are required. The rest is up to you.

If you become a customer, I'll also hold the business information you send me for the build. Your hours, services, prices, photos, and logo, plus our emails and texts.

This site sets no cookies and shows no ads.

What I use it for

• Getting back to you about your enquiry
• Building and maintaining your website, if you become a customer
• Sending you things about your account, like a billing problem or a change to these terms

That's it. I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you didn't ask for.

Who else sees it

I'm a one-person business, so in practice the answer is me. The exceptions are the services I use to run the site:

• Web3Forms handles contact form submissions and passes them to my email. Your form data passes through their servers on the way to me.
• Cloudflare hosts this site. As part of hosting and security, Cloudflare keeps basic, aggregated request records such as the pages requested, approximate location, and browser type. I don't use these to identify individuals.
• Stripe processes payments if you become a customer. Card details go straight to Stripe. I never see or store your full card number. Stripe has its own privacy policy covering how they handle payment data.
• Google receives the business details you give me for your Google Business Profile, if I set one up for you.
• My email and phone provider, since that's where your message lands.

Other than that, I'll only hand over information if the law requires it.

Analytics

This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking script. The only usage information available to me is Cloudflare's aggregated hosting statistics described above, which are counts and trends rather than records about you.

If that changes, I'll update this page and say what I've added and why.

Selling data

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with data brokers, advertisers, or lead generators. There's no version of this business where that happens.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work get deleted once it's clear nothing's happening, usually within a year. Customer records I keep for as long as you're a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards for tax and accounting purposes.

Getting your data deleted

Email hello@clearpathsites.com and ask. I'll delete what I hold about you and confirm when it's done, normally within a few days. You can also ask for a copy of what I hold, or for a correction if something's wrong.

The one thing I can't delete is records I'm legally required to keep, like invoices for completed payments.

Children

This is a service for businesses. It isn't aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and payments are handled by Stripe rather than by me. I take reasonable care with what I hold, but no one can promise perfect security, and I won't pretend otherwise.

Changes to this policy

If I change how any of this works, I'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you're a customer, I'll email you.
